Sweeney Todd Concepts

Working on the newest Stageworks poster. They are doing Sweeney Todd in Oct this fall. I like the one with the gentlemen's haircut example. Seems a little less obvious than the blood and gore.

Clippings

I was recently in the sunroom of our 103 year old home and noticed a few scraps of paper sticking out of the brass doorway. I pulled a few out and realized that they were clippings from the local newspaper dated February 27, 1939. One can imagine the family that was living here at the time. Dealing with the fall out from the Depression and a potentially colder than normal winter ripping up the newspaper and stuffing it in the frame of the door to prevent drafts of cold air. Some of the comics section is shown as well as a few other abstracted scraps. I thought they were interesting enough the post. Enjoy.

FOUNDFONT of the day

Picked this little gem up at a garage sale a while back. I love the looseness of the type and the image. So odd and amazing.

CMYK Magazine + Hucklebuck

I was recently contacted to judge the upcoming design competition for CMYK magazine. I've been going through it over the past few days and have loved seeing so much great student work. Great job over at CMYK magazine! "Big Ups" to Curtis. The spirit of competition and knowledge of your peers is so important to todays design student.

Hucklebuck Says RIP to MJ 1958 - 2009

We took a break today and cranked out a couple of memorial MJ iphone wallpapers. We were saddened to hear the news as much as everyone else. The news coverage has been over the top, but it's still a tragic situation. We all remember jamming to Thriller and his work inspires us all.

American Ruins

Hucklebuck intern Andrew Clark recently made his way in to an abandoned theme park and got freaky with a Holga. Some really nice shots of American Ruins. Reminds me of the show Life After Humans. For any interest in photo usage contact clark@hucklebuckdesign.com
