Working on the Hucklebuck Christmas card for this year. Bought a bunch of wood type from the local antique shop and hand pressed these bad boys on pages from an old Christmas book.

Fahrenheit Films + Hucklebuck

We are excited to announce that Hucklebuck has signed on to rebrand Fahrenheit Films, an award winning film and video production company out of Canada. Fahrenheit's work is amazing and we're super excited about the collaboration. To see their work go to http://www.fahrenheitfilms.com/. Now it's time to figure out the best way to merge a maple leaf and a video camera.

Vintage Meter Stamps

I will be posting some new Hucklebuck work soon, but until then here are some great meter slogan stamps that found this week. Really cheeky and great type. Enjoy.

HUCKLEBUCK + TOOTH AND NAIL

We recently teamed up with Tooth and Nail Records' artist Mae on a graphic tee for their online store. Mae is a great band out of Norfolk Virginia interested in making great music while also making a difference in the lives of people in their community. Gotta respect that.

To see their site check out http://whatismae.com/

Sweeney Todd Concepts

Working on the newest Stageworks poster. They are doing Sweeney Todd in Oct this fall. I like the one with the gentlemen's haircut example. Seems a little less obvious than the blood and gore.

Clippings

I was recently in the sunroom of our 103 year old home and noticed a few scraps of paper sticking out of the brass doorway. I pulled a few out and realized that they were clippings from the local newspaper dated February 27, 1939. One can imagine the family that was living here at the time. Dealing with the fall out from the Depression and a potentially colder than normal winter ripping up the newspaper and stuffing it in the frame of the door to prevent drafts of cold air. Some of the comics section is shown as well as a few other abstracted scraps. I thought they were interesting enough the post. Enjoy.

Business Card Reference

Found some nice business cards on the Library of Congress while back. Thought they might be post worthy.
